"Isabella Farms is a top-notch boarding and training facility located in Cypress, TX. The first thing you notice as a new boarder is the incredible attention to every detail about the welfare of your horse. Management will interview you about your horse, its habits and personality, and your goals in riding or competition. You are not just a boarder at Isabella; they want to know you and your horse!
It is clear that the facility was designed with the horse in mind. Stalls are foaling-sized with a generous window for your horse to look out and enjoy the sights around the barn. Paddocks are roomy and the staff maintains a consistent turnout schedule. Hay is fed three times a day. The barn is organized and tidy. Each boarder has a large tack locker for equipment, saddles, etc., as well as a small tack box in front of the stall so that "stuff" is not hanging on the stall door. Management asks each boarder to leave two thermometers in this box so that, if your horse looks under the weather, staff can take his temperature with his own thermometer. Each stall has a chalkboard so that you can leave messages regarding blanketing, turnout, etc.
The covered arena has GGT footing, lights, sound system, and full mirrors along the "short" side (I use quotes because the arena is huge!). It is an inspiring place to ride!
The barn staff is the best I've encountered in 19 years of boarding in the Houston area. They are professional, friendly, hard working and literally on top of every detail.
The most notable feature of Isabella Farms is that it is family owned and managed and you definitely feel like one of the family. Dawn Chamorro and Tina Kittel have created a superb, supportive environment here and they go out of their way to maintain it." - Kimberly Parker
"I have been boarding at Isabella Farms since I moved to Houston in May 2009. My work schedule is busy and I was unable to be at the barn when my horse arrived from the Midwest. That day during a meeting I received a text message from Dawn. I was grateful and relieved when I saw a picture of my baby rolling in her paddock with an account of how she was adjusting to her new home. The property is lovely with lots of trees, grass, flowers and a pond. It is easily accessible from downtown (about 30 mins). Each horse gets a large paddock and they work hard to keep grass growing. The barn is spacious and well laid out. The arena is huge with mirrors and lighting. Everything is well maintained, clean and always in good working order. Every week I look forward to spending my weekend there riding and catching up with other boarders. Dawn and Tina do a great job of managing the barn. They take care of all the vet/farrier/dental visits. The horses are well attended to and Dawn takes care of injuries and emergencies. When I am traveling, I have a piece of mind that they will be able to deal with any kind of situation and do the right thing for my horse. They only work with reputable equine professionals, but allow a choice of vets and farriers. Dawn is helping me keep my horse in shape and she is very professional and patient with her clients. She will work with you through anything, even if it is "I feel like something is off, but I don't know what it is". They work with different trainers and clinicians and for people who don't show it really helps to mix things up and keep riding exciting. I feel that for all the amenities, services and little "extras" that I get at this barn the price is surprisingly competitive. My horse is healthy, sound and happy there. This place is a gem." - Anna Zhiltsova

"I recently attended a clinic with Bill Solyntjes and audited the Betsy Steiner clinic at Isabella Farms. The facility is fabulous and includes a spacious covered arena with fantastic footing. Dawn was gracious enough to provide me with a temporary stall so that I could benefit from watching some of the other rides of the day. The clinics were exceptionally well run. Dawn and her staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. It was a very supportive and welcoming atmosphere. Isabella Farms is bringing in a number of highly respected clinicians throughout the year which is of great interest to me. Thank you Dawn for a truly wonderful experience – I look forward to coming back in the near future!!" - Robin Clark

"A little more time today. Boarding at Isabella. If your horse is sick or hurt, they, Tina and Dawn, tell you. They take your horse to the vet anywhere Waller or on to TAMU while you are trying to get a ride from work. If your old pals (twice-one from cancer at age 17 and one from old age at age 34) pass on they are at the barn with you and crying so hard you can't keep it together while you talk your old friends through being put down with a chorus of we love you. You are a good girl and the vet cries as well. They send you away and they help load the horse on the truck. They spend their own money on the facilities. They constantly seed and water turnout paddocks. The arena footing is incredible. (Could be softer-that is a joke, I fell off last year.) Their staff finds issues with the horses. If you fall off your horse and have to go to the hospital they put the horse and tack away for you immediately. When you are sick and can't get out there they say don't worry and take extra care. They do not nickel and dime you pretending to be less board and charging for every silly thing. For the quality of the facilities and the care of the horses, it is a great deal. They are friends and I am grateful the have loved my horses so much and given such great care. They have huge dressage events and renowned trainers scheduled to give clinics. Dawn is constantly training and improving and it is a joy to watch her progress. She will help you if you want to show, getting to shows and supporting you at shows. I don't know why anyone would ever leave once they board at Isabella. I love it." - Ann Sheridan
“I was so not into boarding at all, loved to do my own way at home ..... until we were tired of all the up keep and moved to the city. I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed Isabella Farms. I never worry. They are very well taken care of. Out all day usually weather permitting .... huge stalls! And who can beat the indoor riding arena and fabulous footing!!!! No al a cart. They will blanket and feed supplements at no extra costs! Fun clinics and top of the line clinicians.” – Laura Bond
“Norma used up another one of her far past nine lives Friday a week ago. Dawn texted me from the show. Tina called Tom. Dr. Beckham, our wonderful veterinarian, was at the barn, lucky for us, and treated her for colic. Hearing a bad heart, we thought she should go to Waller Equine. Tina and staff waited until I got home from work, picked up my truck at the shop, and drove to the barn. They helped us load and off we went. Norma passed her impaction colic in the trailer and the stocks so we brought her home. Staff came out to great us when we arrived, late, and helped. I love this barn. Norma is 33, looks awesome, and would not be here without them. Great team! Thank you Tina, Dawn, and the rest of Isabella Farm family! Thank you Drs. Beckham and Jordan! Love this beautiful place!” – Ann Sheridan
